Hares and Hounds 50 / 10 km

2008 saw last minute changes to the course due to heavy rain in the week leading up to the event. This didn't take anything away from the event and it drew another healthy field for both events (a 10km event having been added to the card since 2007).

A strong wind had risen overnight and the 80km run started in a swirling wind that was to remain for most of the event. Several first timers at the distance including Lisa Spink who took out 1st place female, David Waugh winning the male event.

Also of note was Kelvin Marshall's 200th ultra which saw him come second behind John Searston in the 50km.

The event as a whole was well supported with a total of 212 participants. Full results below including splits for the 80km and 50km
